Autumn's Chill Leads to Rest and Relaxation

I hope everyone is doing well and that life has been treating you kindly! It's been getting rather chilling as autumn kicks into gear, meaning we're wanting to get cozy and stay snuggled indoors more. Taking time to slow down, rest, and relax is definitely becoming more of a priority. Some people are still trying to cause drama (why they can't just let things go and move on is beyond me--entangling oneself in all that mucky, negative energy of drama just doesn't seem worth it). As days grow shorter and the chill creeps into the air, it becomes all the more appealing to withdraw your energy from things that aren't necessary, to conserve it and replenish yourself. Take time for you, to prioritize self-care before we get into the thick of the hectic holiday season.

The boys had a pretty typical week, although they had some after school activities this week which led to a bit more running around for me between their different schedules. The older brother also had his birthday this week, and he was super excited--he was ecstatic about my gift for him, and he proceeded to info dump all sorts of facts about Funko Pops, figurines, Lego sets, and the different franchises. He was also excited that the radio stations started playing Christmas music already, requesting that we listen to it whenever we drive around. It's only a few more days before they have Thanksgiving break, and the boys are seriously looking forward to it (and I don't blame them--they've been working hard and deserve a break).

With autumn's chill setting in, Tsuki opted to embrace the rest, relation, and chill vibes this week. She enjoyed cozy cat naps in her favorite spots, like her favorite chair, her cat house, the blanket on the couch, etc. and also loved snuggling with me at night, content as could be. Tsuki savored soaking up the sun on the porch when it was nice enough and loved birdwatching and watching animals like squirrels from her window shelf. She also had a blast playing with and hiding in the packing paper. Tsuki knows how to make the most of the season and always brings laughter and joy into our lives.

New Creativity Chronicles' content included:

Life is full of twists, turns, unexpected surprises, disappointments, lessons, and blessings. No matter what you face, know that you get to decide how you show up in the world, so take time to make the choices you can be proud of. Even if other people are choosing poorly, you get to decide what kind of person you want to be. Be gentle with yourself as you figure things out, and make the effort to become the best version of yourself possible. The learning and growing process is often messy and complicated, but it's worthwhile in the end. Give yourself grace and the time to develop into who you want to be; don't let others try to dictate who you are--it's up to you and no one else. You're an incredible human being with so many strengths, gifts, skills, insights, and experiences to share; you may have your struggles and areas for growth, but we all have those as human beings. The storm may be rough, but you can make it through, so keep moving forward no matter how small your steps are. You've got this! Wishing you a wonderful rest of your weekend!
