Fall Festivities

I hope everyone is doing well! It's been a busy week full of babysitting, art, writing, hanging out with Tsuki, and remodeling. The kitchen is getting closer to be finished, but it's still not close to actually being completed. It feels like the remodel just keeps dragging on; it's been going on for over two months (and they claimed it would be quick). Tsuki's definitely fed up with the remodel and just wants her freedom.

I struggled falling asleep Sunday night and woke up rather groggy on Monday morning. My dream recall was veiled in a thick haze, so I couldn't remember anything; it almost felt as if I hadn't slept at all.

I felt super energized Monday night, so it wasn't easy falling asleep. Needless to say, I was rather groggy when I woke up and wanted to go back to sleep. My dream recall was pretty fuzzy, but the little I could remember involved creating things with yarn, some kind of special event involving music like a festival or concert, and crystals.

I felt rather energized when I tried to go to sleep again on Tuesday night. My dream recall was kind of fuzzy. There was something about being at some kind of park/school and writing articles. Interestingly enough, there was a part about Chris Luck, the founder of AMBSDR. He had some kind of physical store full of fun, trending projects. While I was checking it out, I noticed there was a special upcoming fundraising event. It seemed to be supporting charity, and when I checked out the flier it officially started on November 13th. While it would be open to the public then, there seemed to be a special kickoff period for AMBSDR members that was starting now. Pretty sure I was talking to Chris at one point. I think I left and ended up at some dojo afterwards, but that's all I could remember once I woke up.

My dream recall was rather hazy when I woke up on Thursday morning. There was something about reviews and art supplies, but the main thing I knew upon waking was that I would enjoy going back to sleep a lot. I was on the verge of falling back asleep when I woke up on Friday morning since I felt so energized and struggled falling asleep Thursday night. My dream recall was pretty hazy. There was something about reviews, dye, and a swimming pool. Pretty sure there was something to do with a school, too, but everything else was a blur.

I enjoyed chilling in bed for a while when I woke up on Saturday morning; it was quite nice not having to get up and go anywhere. In my dream I ended up talking to someone I used to play online games with. We chatted and caught up on what's been happening in our lives; it was really nice, and we ended up talking about nothing in particular and just being silly. I do miss talking with them; it was always really fun. Pretty sure we ended up meeting somewhere that seemed to possibly be a store or school. More happened, but specific details got fuzzy. I think there was something to do with reviews, but that's all I could remember upon waking up.

My dream recall was a bit fuzzy when I woke up this morning, and it felt like a lot happened. The first part I could remember seemed to involve some kind of business/company. It almost seemed like I infiltrated it. An employee that worked there seemed to be my ticket in, although I'm not sure what the purpose was. They helped me get to the upper levels of the company; the organization/company itself seemed a little sketchy. I was going to ride the elevators when they started acting up. People had to help those stuck on the elevators from going up/down when the elevator wasn't supposed to, using teamwork to keep them more stationary. After the elevators were stopped, I think I ended up using the stairs to get back down to the ground level. I think I left the building, but there seemed to be a new issue. Once out of the building it seemed to be a college campus or potentially a festival with various booths. Someone ended up breaking onto the campus and trying to shoot everyone with a gun. I ended up using strategy to avoid detection and get out of there. Someone else ended up going into the woods and disguising themselves as some kind of strange frog, using forest colors to blend in, matching the colors of the leaves/grass; they were very serious about it, taking into account what it would look like from above and from the side. The gunman seemed to be hunting people down and tried to get that person, too. He seemed to think it was a sport. The last thing I could remember was being at some kind of mall type of place. I was with my dad and siblings, and we got in line for this ice cream booth/store. The owner spoke Spanish, and my dad was asking for After Eight. The owner gave us a tour of the back room. It was pretty interesting because it resembled more of a fun house, giving vibes of a carnival or circus, and had some clown décor. Apparently, I had helped remodel it with a volunteer group, and my cousin Drake had been a part of it. He showed up and started reminiscing about it. I ended up leaving the back area and wound up in some kind of aquarium. I felt bad for the fish, though, because they were all in really small tanks that were quite boring and plain. The last thing I could remember was getting back in line for some mint ice cream with my dad. It felt like more happened, though.

The boys were excited to talk about memes, anime, and the games they've been playing. The younger brother was excited to share about all the rare, secret pets he's been getting in one of the pet games he plays. It was great to see him so enthusiastic. He also came out late one afternoon from school because he got caught up in a discussion with his teacher about Elden Ring. The older brother was telling me all about how he's doing a product review in his ELA class. They're excited for the fall festival this weekend, too. They worked on a school float for the parade and volunteered to work the school fry booth.

I ended up babysitting for another family over the weekend, and the kids were so excited to see me again. The younger sister greeted me as soon as I arrived and wanted to see if I had any new stickers on my car. She noticed a Sailor Moon sticker and started gushing about how she wanted to get a Sailor Moon costume for Halloween. Then she proceeded to tell me all about what she had been up to, including going to the fall festival and getting a handmade raspberry tea bag. We ended up baking a cake for her brother, and she wanted to watch Yours, Mine, and Ours. She made an outdoor "picnic" for her and her brother, enjoying the family's new, color-changing, outdoor lights. Her brother enjoyed chatting with me about learning German, school, and anime. It was a pretty laid-back evening/night, and it was great seeing them again.

Tsuki was mad about the remodelers coming back this week; she often hid in the closet because they decided to use a loud saw in the kitchen rather often. While she hated being confined to one room, she did enjoy hanging out with me and looking out the windows. Tsuki loved stretching out on the bed or cuddling up on my lap, trying to prevent me from leaving (because she hates being alone). She was excited for the weekend since it meant complete freedom. Tsuki enjoyed lounging on the carpet beneath the table, on top of the boxes on the porch, snoozing on the back of the couch, and just chilling as she pleased. She's very ready for this remodel to finally be over.

Take time for yourself and do what you enjoy. Life's too short to spend it living someone else's life. Follow your passion and inspiration, give yourself permission to laugh, and listen to your heart. There's no one else like you, so follow your unique path. You're capable of incredible things if you give yourself the chance. Don't sell yourself short; you'll be amazed at what you achieve. Take care, be gentle with yourself, and have a wonderful rest of your weekend!
