Fun in Australia

After a long trip out to Australia (that got even longer because of weather delays and missing connecting flights as a result) and fun times visiting Australia for the first time, I am back home. Jetlag was a menace, but I had lots of fun exploring the various places with my boyfriend. We also went to the Gold Coast for his friend's wedding. It was a very busy trip, leaving us exhausted, but still a great time. Would have been nice if we could have stayed longer, but it just means we'll have to go back to make more memories together. Getting ready for the wedding and such definitely took up a considerable portion of our time there, but it was still fun just helping him out and seeing the new sights. I got to meet family and friends he has out there, which was cool, too. It was such a beautiful wedding, and it was an honor to be included. Definitely going to need time to recover from the return trip home and jetlag, but it's great to be back with Tsuki again.

Life is full of ups and downs, ebbs and flows, challenges and happiness. Some days will be easier than others, and changes will be inevitable. Feelings can be unpredictable, but don't deny yourself the human experience. It's okay to be sad, nervous, excited, angry, or any other feeling you have. You're allowed to be human, and humans come with messy emotions. Feel how you feel--that's okay. That said, it might not be the best to act on certain feelings depending on various scenarios and factors, but you have every right to feel them. You don't have to chase after emotions, either. It's okay for them to come and visit before leaving. Sometimes they'll be visiting briefly while other times they'll stay longer. Having emotions isn't bad, and do your best to find a safe space to express them (such as a journal, a safe person lending an ear, etc.). Repressing and bottling your emotions may help short-term but can lead to unstoppable, unpredictable eruptions later on. Experiencing and processing emotions may be easier said than done, but for your own well-being, please do so. Be gentle with yourself as we navigate this messy world; we're all doing our best. You're doing just fine--you've got this! Have a wonderful week and take care!
