Happy Full Moon in Leo and Happy Valentine's Day!

Writer's picture: JessicaJessica

I hope everyone is doing well and that life is treating you kindly! Hopefully, you showed yourself some TLC this week in honor of the holiday and showed your loved ones some appreciation and kindness. I've been hearing all sorts of people remarking how exhausted they are this week (especially on Wednesday, the day of the full moon), so make sure you are taking care of yourself and letting yourself rest if you need it. Yes, there are plenty of important things that need to get done, but you won't get very far if your tank is empty; take time to fill up your cup so you can do your best work and get more done quicker.

No matter how exhausting life can get and how many unexpected curveballs it might throw at you, life is still good. Yes, at times it is challenging, and there can be overwhelming emotions. You can find good to appreciate, you can find the light if you look, though, even if it's small. For instance, I had a cool experience this week while I was going to check on dogs; while I was driving, I came across this group of at least 10 deer. I've seen smaller groups of like 3-6 deer, but nothing that large. It was a fun experience; they were just chilling and observing the world. Life had been dishing up some challenging experiences, but at the same time, there's still magic, wonder, and good if you are willing to look. Don't give up, and keep moving forward as best you can. The future is looking brighter and brighter. The people came out in droves to speak up, and we're finally being listened to. The corruption is finally being exposed. Those being appointed to positions of leadership are taking matters seriously, acting with genuine care about the health, safety, and well-being of the country, creating a bright future for the country of integrity, transparency, honesty, follow through by keeping their word, utilizing common sense, and holding people accountable. The time for hiding misconduct and shady deception are coming to an end. Deepest and sincerest congratulations to Tulsi Gabbard and Robert F. Kennedy Jr. for being confirmed this week! As an independent that agrees with views on both sides, I'm so excited to see people finally coming together to peacefully collaborate rather than being at each other's throats; props to the current administration for gathering people on all sides to create a team of unity (Tulsi being a democrat until last year and RFK being an independent, for example). As RFK asserted, "We need to start loving our children more than we hate each other; that will bring the country together." We need to unite to create a brighter future for all instead of getting caught up in differences, petty drama, propaganda, and what we might dislike about one another--we're all human, after all; we all bleed red.

Also, Karoline Leavitt is on fire! So incredible and refreshing to have competent, articulate, intelligent people a part of the White House team!

The boys had an interesting week. They are getting fed up with tests, quizzes, homework, and the like, but with more snowstorms, they got another snow day, which they were quite enthusiastic about. The boys were also super pumped about having a 4-day weekend due to conferences and Presidents' Day. Honestly, I can't say I blame them; life has been a bit intense as of late (plenty of people exploding about things), so energy levels have been lower. It's always nice to have extra time off to rest and recuperate.

Tsuki was her typical goofy, adorable self this week. With the cold winter weather and snow, she spent plenty of times snuggling up for cozy cat naps, whether on her favorite chair, by the space heater, on the couch, on her window shelf, on my lap, on the bench seat, with her toys, etc. She definitely knows how to make the most out of the winter season. Tsuki also had a blast getting into plenty of antics and shenanigans, wresting her toys, perching on her window shelf to watch the neighbor's dog, the snow, and birds, zooming around the house, engaging in sneak attacks, etc. Life truly wouldn't be the same without her.

Remember to be gentle with yourself as you navigate life; if you're doing the best you can, it's more than good enough. Care about how you feel and strive to find the best feeling thought you can find in the moment. Life can seem dark, turbulent, and relentless at times, but the storm will pass. Look for little things that can bring you joy and appreciation; it will lift your heart and help you feel better. You are the author of your life's story; it's up to you to choose. You can choose to walk down a path that has you feeling awful or you can choose to take steps to find a path that uplifts you, helps you feel gratitude, joy, and love, lets you thrive and feel fulfilled. You may stumble and get lost from time to time, but that's okay. Keep taking steps forward; you'll find your way. Keep an open mind and heart and magic, blessings, love, laughter, and joy will find you. The universe has your back if you allow to help you. You've got this! Have a wonderful rest of your weekend and take care!
