Happy New Moon in Capricorn!

I hope everyone has been able to stay warm; it's been bitterly cold here (getting in the negatives and feeling like -24 degrees Fahrenheit outside). This cold is no joke. The snow had people acting zany, too. It's like people lose their sense of logic and all. So weird. I've heard from a variety of people that it's been bitterly cold, so stay safe and warm to the best of your abilities. The weather can be no joke. This week felt a bit wonky. Not sure if that was due to energies (like the new moon in Capricorn), due to the extreme cold, me just having a fuzzy brain, or something else entirely. It was quite the week, though. If you want to learn more about the recent new moon in Capricorn, feel free to check out the videos below:

Not sure what the deal was with sleep and dream recall; couldn't remember a thing this week. Granted, it's not too strange to have dream recall issues, but I usually remember at least something at one point in the week. Not this week. It's peculiar, but it is what it is. Sleep was pretty challenging Sunday night/Monday morning. I maybe got 4 hours of sleep. I was so exhausted. Dream recall was a complete blur, too. Sleep was a bit easier Monday night/Tuesday morning. The extra sleep was nice and made me less tired. Still couldn't remember what transpired in the dream realm, though. Wednesday morning was a struggle, too, as I still experienced challenges with sleeping. Just wanted to keep sleeping when my alarm went off, and I had no idea what transpired in the dream realm.

Unfortunately, it wasn't much easier Thursday morning. I was feeling kind of blecky and achy. Ended up getting up a bit late, too, throwing off my routine and schedule. Life can be hard at times. Couldn't remember anything from my dreams, either. Falling asleep was a bit easier Thursday night, but I still didn't want to get up Friday morning and was feeling tired. No idea what transpired in the dream realm (maybe nothing did or I just forgot--who knows). I got to sleep in some on Saturday, but not nearly as much as my body needed because of pet sitting. It'd be nice if my body would allow me to go to sleep earlier so I'd actually feel fully rested. Ah, the joys of having a ND brain. No idea what happened in my dreams yet again, either. Today was more of the same. Didn't sleep in as much as usual, and had no idea what transpired in the dream realm.

The boys were a bit torn about being back at school for a whole week. They enjoy school to a point, but I think they would rather choose what they do rather than being told what to do and when to do so. Monday also seemed to be a rough day for everyone. Maybe they'll get a snow day soon; I'm sure they'd love a surprise day off from school. They were eager to discuss anime, Disney, video games, and the like with me. We also got into a discussion about their classes and plans for the future. At one point we were talking about chemistry, so I recounted the time my chemistry teacher posed the question on whether this substance should be banned as a warm up; this substance kills thousands (or a million--don't remember exactly how many) per year, and my teacher said that the chemical name for it was hydrogen dioxide. All my classmates were dead set on banning it, but I felt like in order to make a sound judgment, I needed to know more. It also felt like it was a trick question. Turns out, I was right because our teacher told us that it was the chemical name for water. My classmates wanted to ban water, something we all need to live. The boys then tried to come up with potential ways to live without drinking water. It was an interesting discussion.

Tsuki did a whole bunch more snoozing this week; the extreme cold definitely mellows her out. Granted, I really don't blame her for wanting to stay snuggled up, cozy and warm, for comfy cat naps. It was a total mood. She spent so much time snuggled up with blankets (or my sister's sweater), got cozy by the space heater and fire, and enjoyed the restful life. Granted, she still had fun with birdwatching from her window or getting into antics. Tsuki was also pretty upset that I'd leave for pet sitting; she wanted me to stay home (and I personally didn't want to go out into the bitter cold, either, but honoring commitments when you give your word is important). It was super awesome coming back to find her waiting for me and happy to see me.

Remember to be gentle with yourself. Life can be quite challenging at times, and the world isn't always kind. Sometimes being human can feel unbearable. Just know that your feelings are valid and that you matter. No matter what others say. No matter what your struggles are. No matter if you were "productive" today or not. No matter if it's taking you longer than you intended. No matter if you can't see your redeeming qualities or not. You're here, and you are worthy of love, kindness, respect, and compassion just by being alive. All you can do is your best. Your best doesn't have to be the same as anyone else. You don't need to compare yourself to others and feel like you're falling short; each person has their own unique journey, with their own unique talents, skills, experiences, areas for growth, and areas of challenge. The world isn't the same without you in it. You likely have a much greater impact than you realize. Just do the best you can; you'll be just fine--the right people will love and adore you for no other reason than you being yourself. Have a wonderful rest of your weekend!
