I hope everyone is doing well and that life is treating you kindly. It was a pretty abnormal week due to all the snowstorms, there was only 2 days of school (just Thursday and Friday). It made it a lighter week in terms of income, but I focused on appreciating the chance to rest, relax, and stay cozy indoors with Tsuki. It wasn't what anyone planned for this week, but it's best to go with the flow and make the most of the opportunities you are given. Perception makes reality, so life will be much more enjoyable when you look for bright sides and silver linings rather than choosing to grumble and complain about things. Besides, we can't always be in constant action; by taking opportunities to rest when we have the chance, we'll have the energy we need to get things done and be in action. So, go with the flow rather than trying to force things, be in tune with life, and things will go much more smoothly.
Let's go, RFK! This man prayed for 2 decades to get into a position to help change this country's health for the better, and I'm excited to see his work! And the man keeps pushing for unity for the betterment of all, for the love and health of the children. Come on, guys. Yes, we should make sure people are held accountable to their promises and not just gushing out pretty, empty words, but the old ways were obviously not working and were just harming the citizens.
"I promise you that I will enter this inquiry with an open mind and a willingness to be wrong. And I ask that you join me in that. That's how we are going to build unity in this age of political division. We have to find something we care about more than being right, more than political advantage, and more than financial profit. The health of our children is a higher calling for all of us. And here's another promise: We're going to usher in a new era of transparency... There's going to be no more hidden conflicts of interest, no more secrecy, no more profiteering on the substances that we're supposed to be regulating. We're going to earn the public's trust with honest, unbiased science."
It was an abnormal week this past week due to the weather and snowstorms; the boys ended up getting snow days, which led to them only have 2 days of school this week. They didn't seem upset about it (not that I blamed them because it's been bitterly cold). They've been busy working on applications/essays for special programs (like with the Botanical Gardens), though. Their mom was wondering what they would be doing this summer, and she had me brainstorm with her. They might take some online classes this summer, but based off of what teachers have said, she's worried that it might not work well for her autistic son. Honestly, I just think that the public school system is too overstimulating and overwhelming for him (I attended the same school, and it's massive, packed with so many students; it was overwhelming and overstimulating for me, and knowing him like I do, it wouldn't surprise me if it's even more so for him). She's thinking of having me sit down with him to see how online classes go.
I also did some last-minute babysitting for a family in the neighborhood. The boy was so excited to show me his games and his Pokémon cards and even more excited to see some of my cards. He wanted us to watch the Dog Man movie and was all too ecstatic to explain the whole backstory behind the story of Dog Man. He had a blast playing and being silly, and he did not want to go to bed--he even tried manipulating me into letting him stay up later, promising me he wouldn't tell anyone, promising that I'd be his favorite, and when that didn't work, threatening that I'd be his least favorite. He was quite disappointed when none of his many, many tactic did not work (but his parents told me later not to believe his threats because he was so excited when he heard I was coming over). His parents said that I was their favorite babysitter, so there's that. They even gave me free cookies to take home.
I also got new cards, which I'm excited about. My friends also want to come over and check them out, eager to do some readings.

Tsuki had a pretty chill week, and she was super excited that all the snow meant that I was home with her more. She loved snuggling up with me and getting comfy in her favorite spots for cozy cat naps. Tsuki had a blast watching the neighbor's dog and birdwatching from her window shelf. She even would sneak up onto chair to peek at people. Tsuki got cozy by the fire, engaged in her typical antics and shenanigans, climbed up onto my shoulder, and even enjoyed the sunshine on the porch this weekend as it got a bit warmer. She definitely brightens our days.

As life persists in its twists and turns, ups and downs, unexpected surprises, blessings, and challenges, remember to breathe, go at your own pace, and be gentle with yourself. Nobody has all the answers, and nobody can do it all on their own. It's okay to need help. It's okay to need to take things slow and take a break. You're only human; humans aren't machines that can constantly be performing. You're allowed to have your human experience and learn, grow, and improve as you go along. Do the best you can with where you're at and keep moving forward, no matter how small your steps. You'll do just fine and reach your destination in the end. There's no need to rush and put all this pressure and stress on yourself to try to do more than you're capable of. Go with the flow, listen to your body, and get in tune with life. Life doesn't have to be so hard and complicated. You've got this! Please take care; wishing you a wonderful rest of your weekend and a fabulous rest of February!
