I hope everyone is doing well and that if you celebrate the holiday, that you had a wonderful time full of peace, love, and happiness. Granted, if you didn't for whatever reason (i.e. if your family caused drama and chaos like mine did), know that you matter and that you deserve peace, happiness, and care, so don't let anyone else try to convince you otherwise. You don't have to be around people that drag you down; protect your energy and peace of mind. Do what's best for you and prioritize your well-being and self-care. Not everyone is going to get it. While it's important to spend time with family, friends, and loved ones during the holidays, that doesn't mean you need to put up with people's negativity and mistreatment. You don't have to give your time and energy to those that don't appreciate it.
It was a pretty chill week in general; I checked on my aunt's dog while she worked. The boys had the week off for winter break, and their dad happened to be working from home, so I had the week off from that. Tsuki was excited about that since it meant I spent more time with her, usually doing writing, art, and chilling with anime or a good book. I also happened to take my friend's mom and daughter to go check out the the super decked out house in a nearby town, and they thought it was incredible.
Tsuki enjoyed a pretty relaxed week (as long as my loud brother and his massive dog weren't around). She was happy to enjoy cozy cat naps on her favorite chair, on her window shelf, in her cat house, the bed, and anywhere else she felt like getting comfy. Tsuki also enjoyed plenty of snuggling (wanting to avoid the chaos). She was super excited about the new cat toys I bought for her, too, dragging them around the house, wrestling with the new crinkle fish, snuggling with the soft caterpillar, and getting into all sorts of antics and shenanigans. All in all, she had a pretty good Christmas.
Artwork for the week included more diamond art:
One of my aunts gave me a mobile kit for the holidays, which I assembled. My mom gave me a patch which I added to one of my hats. It's also been a very busy year of diamond art (some of which were already given away to others for gifts throughout the year).
This week I created more new content for Creativity Chronicles, so feel free to check out the newest content! Also feel free to check out the new section called Thought Spot that explores various topics of thought and conversation!
New Creativity Chronicles' content included:
As the year comes to a close, take time to rest, relax, have fun, and savor the small things. Remember to breathe and reflect before getting swept up in the hype of the new year. There will always be new things prying at your attention, always more to do, so remember to make time for quiet and tranquility. The holiday season is coming to a close, but that doesn't mean that you can't make any moment special; live your life in a way that allows you to thrive and enjoy it. Wishing you a wonderful rest of 2024 and a bright and happy new year!
