Summer Storms

I hope everyone is doing well and stay cool during the summer heat! There were some major thunderstorms this past week, providing some greatly needed rejuvenation to the plant life. It had been so hot, and it did bring some cooler temperatures (but it also brought some intense humidity, which made it feel just as hot if not hotter). Hopefully, you all haven't gotten too hot and enjoyed some chill downtime.

My dream recall was rather fuzzy when I woke up on Monday morning. There was something about being at the local children's museum, and someone claimed they were too busy to perform some task. There was another part of the dream involving Dragonball Z characters discussing their favorite battle moves (although it might have been a parody like DBZ abridged). There was some kind of purple, alien bat creature that could detect power levels/energy with a single antenna that was on top of its head, too. More happened, but that's all I could remember once awake.

I was quite tempted to go back to sleep Wednesday morning, and my dream recall was fuzzy. There was something about this group going after people. They ended up beating up this one guy black and blue before capturing him. Then for someone else they charged them a bunch of money. More happened, but details got muddled. There was something about this massive, powerful, golden dragon de-transforming into a little ditto out in space on some meteor, and Rayquaza giving it some mad props, impressed. That's all I could remember, though.

I almost fell back asleep because I was feeling super tired when I woke up Thursday morning. My dream recall was a bit hazy. There was something about some kind of gathering with my family at a grocery store. Not entirely sure what it was for; it kind of seemed like a wedding or graduation. There was food handed out, though. Then there was something sort of involving travel and a hotel. Not sure where I ended up, but after pressing this one brick on the road, a secret entrance to a building with some kind of hangout area opened up. There were a variety of people there, like my former coworker named Sri. She took a look at my nails and started remarking that there was something a bit off about my health, maybe involving diet, some kind of illness, or an allergy to dogs. She grabbed me a bottle of water and recommended drinking more water to help flush toxins out of my system. More happened, but that's all I could remember.

My dream recall was pretty spotty when I woke up on Saturday. There was something about being out and about with a group of people which seemed to be family and friends. I think it was my dad who got some matches; he'd end up lighting one, holding it between his hands, and tossing it up in the air to make some big-flamed explosion. He did it multiple times, but I'm not sure why. There was something about discussing something with someone; they were showing me some book, and on the back of the book there was some kind of advertisement for the book I had created back in college. More definitely happened, but that's all I could remember. I was feeling rather groggy when I woke up this morning, and my dream recall wasn't any better. There might have been something about working on a project, but everything was so hazy. I couldn't put my finger on specific details.

It was a busy week for babysitting/tutoring, but we got the boys a week ahead of schedule, so they can go on vacation next week without worrying about summer school work. It was a bit tricky and challenging at times, but we achieved our mission successfully. The boys had fun discussing anime (like Spy x Family and funny InuYasha moments), video games, and a variety of theories. They were showing me some of the newest figure releases, like the Sesshomaru with Bakusaiga Funko Pop that got released at Comic Con. The boys were also excited that I finally watched the Mario movie and were all too happy to discuss all of the references and funny moments. There was some storms that rolled in, which made them a bit nervous, as well as their dog, Pearl, because she had been home alone in their last house when this tree branch had impaled their home during a storm. Otherwise, it was a pretty chill week.

Tsuki was her typical adorable, nutty self. She enjoyed plenty of cat naps, getting cozy in her cat house, chilling in a box, lounging on plastic bags, sprawling out in her tunnel, and just had a great time. Tsuki also snuggled during her snoozing, enjoyed her new window shelf, and found plenty of places to get comfy, like a mattress my brother had used when he was in town. She got new toys and goodies, which had her super excited, too. With all the thunderstorms this week Tsuki enjoyed some deep sleep, but she savored birdwatching while it was sunny.
